a vessel can add this profile.
I do not have a Seaman’s Book yet
SIGVORA accepts a seaman’s or discharge book issued by the responsible maritime authority. A UK Discharge Book is generally available to British seafarers, or to non-British seafarers who are employed on a UK-registered ship or yacht.
- Check that you meet the current UK eligibility rules.
- Download and complete the official MCA form MSF 4509.
- Prepare the original photographs, signatures and employment or shipowner evidence requested by the form.
- Send the paper application to the Registry of Shipping and Seamen. Apply at least three weeks before the book is needed.
A UK Discharge Book records sea service; it is not a passport or an internationally guaranteed travel document. If you are not eligible for the UK document, ask your national maritime authority or the vessel’s flag administration which equivalent book it issues.
Requirements and fees can change. Always use the current MCA form linked above.Documents can only be recorded by live camera, verified QR code or NFC. Normal file uploads are not accepted.
